Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
If we love God, things around us will work together for good. That is often how far I often look into this verse. That is true; it is what God has promised us in His word. However, we need to look at this verse a little deeper.
All thins work together for good. But what is considered "good"? God doesn't promise that life will be perfect and that we will always be happy. We can, however, have JOY. Joy is not an emotion, like happiness. It is an indescribable thing. Having joy means having faith in God and contentment in His will. We can have joy even when it appears that all things are not working together for good. Good is God's will for us. God has a plan for our lives and He sees the big picture. All we see is the little bit around us that is going on right now. God sees so much more, infinitely more than we do and He knows what is best for us. We may think we know, but we really don't. We have no idea what will happen in a year, a month, a week, a day, an hour, or even a minute, but we do know this: God Knows. Never forget that! Read it again: GOD KNOWS. God knows how to work all things together for good. Our job is simply to love, trust, and obey Him. No matter what, always remember:
GOD KNOWS.
Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
