I sit here writing after a long day. At school, I had to sit through a civil rights assembly that was all about not calling other people offensive names (basically pushing the world's agenda of accept everyone's beliefs as right). I had to work on a frustrating timeline for U.S.History (how does one put dates on "native cultures" or "globalization and technology"?). I did not have time to get my homeschool work done after school. My little sister was fussy. My to-do list has many unchecked items on it.
However, I need to let it go and focus on the good things from today.
I was able to deliver a meal to a friend who lost her grandmother on Saturday. I had a good talk with my mom. The sun was shining and snow was covering the ground.
I am wearing my favorite skirt along with my favorite plaid jacket (they don't match, by the way). I just had some ice cream. My little sisters are pretty adorable.
Let it go.
Remember: God knows everything. I don't.
Ezekiel 37:3
"And He said to me, 'Son of man, can these bones live?' So I answered, 'O Lord GOD, You know.' "
Remember: God will help and strengthen me.
Isaiah 40:31
But those who wait on the LORD
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.
Remember: God is always with me.
Isaiah 41:13
For I, the LORD your God, will hold your right hand,
Saying to you, "Fear not, I will help you.' "
Sometimes when a day starts out bad, it's nice to keep in mind all the good things. Every night I thank God for a "wonderful day" because every day has something good about it.(: and thanks for the verses! Isaiah 41:13 is just what I need right now.(:

What a lovely post. Sorry you didn't have such a great day at school and you had a lot of homework. I know plenty of days I felt like complaining- but what was nice about what you did with your post was that you didn't complain, but rather told things you were thankful for- I thought that was so neat!! I often complain and forget to praise God for the blessings He has given me and thank Him for them. Thanks for the reminder :) Have a wonderful day!!!
ReplyDeleteLovely post :) These are things I need to remeber :) Hope everything gets better, and I'll be praying for your friend :)
