Simon and Garfunkel pandora station
Disney classics
podcasts (The Art of Simple is one of my favorite)
wondering
why I have to be a grown-up
why Maine skipped spring
how much more yarn I can store in my room
what it will be like to be home all summer for the first time since middle school
excited about
getting a job
the possibility of summer adventures
buying a new hat
new yarn
avoiding
completely unpacking the little bits and pieces still packed away from school
vacuuming
online yarn sales (I need to keep telling myself that I don't need more yarn)
answering phone calls
seeing
familiar home sights
budding leaves and flowers
overcast skies that hold no rain
green everywhere
my messy desk and clean yarn shelf
"wondering why I have to be a grown-up" and "seeing overcast skies that hold no rain" gah, this post is so poetic and thoughtful and beautiful. <3 Simon and Garfunkel music is like warm rainy summer coming home awesomeness for me. Comfort food for the ears. (:
ReplyDeleteHAPPY SUMMER! Enjoy every moment and remember that summer is not the time to be a grown up.
ReplyDeleteLove all of the yarn included in this list- my life!

Thank you. :) Hooray for a fellow Simon and Garfunkel fan! It's just so soothing. I love how you described it.

Thank you! That is very true...summer is pretty much the one part of the year where everyone can act like a kid. Well, that and Christmas...
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for all of your sweet comments. I so appreciate them.
Hugs,
Emily.
I'm glad someone else loves yarn, too! I have so much. It's a wonderful problem.

Emily.
It'll be interesting to see what your summer has in store since it will be so starkly different from the past few years. Excited for the adventure in store for you, though! :-)
ReplyDeleteThis will be my first summer ever to not be at camp for at least one week, so it will be very different. I am excited, though. :)
