weekly wrap-up #8

it's that time of week again!

this past weekend my sister abbie, my father, and i went on a road trip. we went down to visit a college that abbie is interested in down in lancaster county, pennsylvania. we left from our concert thrusday night, drove down/slept {not at the same time, of course}, and got there a couple of hours before the college preview day began. we toured the campus, stayed in a hotel on saturday night, and drove home today. with no traffic in the middle of the night, it only took us seven hours to get there. on the way home it took us about eight hours, not including stops. we had a blast, though, so it was alright to be in the car for that long.*smiles*

lately i have really been enjoying this nice spring weather. i get to wear summer skirts which is always fun. i would say that warm weather makes me bring out my sandals, but since i have been known to walk to church in sandals when there is at least six inches of snow on the ground, that's not necessarily true. *smiles*.

i made this skirt in my fashion and fabrics class {which is over, sadly}. i tried to follow a tutorial, but it was confusing because i could only print out the words, not the pictures, so it was confusing. thus, i made it up as i went along.

last night i made an anklet out of red and blue baker's twine. i really like how it turned out!

i hope that you all remember why we celebrate this day of resurrection. as i sit here eating candy, i think about our sunrise service this morning. even though it was cloudy and looked like it was about to rain, many people showed up to praise God and and His resurrected Son. voices were raised in song. ears were open to the message.
