Happy Saturday!

Happy Saturday, everyone!

Catching up on the 31-Day Challenge:

Day 21 - A Photo of a Sunset

I am ashamed. I couldn't find any sunset photos! *gasp*

I know. It's sad.

But hey, I have a sunrise photo! It's pretty close...

Day 22 - A Photo of a Person you Love

I love this little munchkin. And I love Tangled. Chloe got this doll for her birthday. :)

I found a great quote here. Here is the quote:

He's not perfect. You aren't either, and the two of you will never be perfect. But if he can make you laugh at least once, causes you to think twice, and if he admits to being human and making mistakes, hold onto him and give him the most you can. He isn't going to quote poetry, he's not thinking about you every moment, but he will give you a part of him that he knows you could break. Don't hurt him, don't change him, and don't expect more than he can give. Don't analyze. Smile when he makes you happy, yell when he makes you mad, and miss him when he's not there. Love hard when there is love to be had. Because perfect guys don't exist, but there's always one guy that is perfect for you.

- Bob Marley

Awww!!! I love quotes like that. :)

I thought that I would share some lovely, fall-ish recipes with you all.

(isn't Pinterest a lovely thing?)

Old Fashioned Soft Pumpkin Cookies

Homemade Peanut Butter Cups

This recipe isn't really connected to fall, but it looks delicious anyway. :)

Peppermint Stick Cocoa

Again, not really a fall recipe, but everyone loves cocoa and peppermint, right?

What would you all think of a recipe link-up? I would write about something that I baked/cooked, including the recipe, and have a linky in the post. You could then write up a post with a recipe and link it up. Would people be interested in this?

Have a good Saturday!

Baking-ness

Today, I baked.

First I made Apple Crumble. I know most people call it Apple Crisp, but it has always been Apple Crumble in my house. :)

Apple Crumble is one of my favorite fall treats to bake.

It's easier and takes less time than apple pie.
Note to self: I will have to make my family's apple pie sometime and post the recipe. It has a cinnamon/brown sugar topping on it instead of a top crust. YUM!
But I do have the recipe for Apple Crumble at the bottom of the post.

I made this apron for myself a while ago. I like it. :) The pockets are in just the right spots...
Sorry about the wrinkles. I had been using another apron for a while and this one was folded. :)

Next, I made these delicious things.

Monkey Bread Muffins.

I had found a recipe for them a while ago, but I hadn't had any refrigerator roll dough to make them with. But I did today. I love basically any dessert with cinnamon and brown sugar in it.

Here is the recipe for Apple Crumble:

Apple Crumble

Place in a 13" x 9" pan about 8 cups of sliced apples or as many as you want, just as long as there is enough to cover the bottom of the pan. (Oh, and no need to grease the pan).

Blend until crumbly:
1 1/3 cups packed brown sugar
1 cup flour
1 cup rolled oats
2/3 cup margarine
1 1/2 tsp. each cinnamon and nutmeg

Spread over apples.

Bake at 375 for 30-35 minutes or until apples are tender and topping is brown.

Serve with Cool Whip or whipped cream.

Enjoy!

If you have any questions or run into any problems, be sure to let me know.

Oh, and lastly: there are a couple giveaways going on. The first is over at Giveaways of Blessing. The second is over at An Old-Fashioned Girl

What did you do today?
