weekend

Ezekiel 37:3

And He said to me, "Son of man, can these bones live?"
So I answered, "O LORD God, You know."

Psalm 147:15-18

He sends out His command to the earth;
His word runs very swiftly.
He gives snow like wool.

He scatters the frost like ashes.
He casts out His hail like morsels.
Who can stand before His cold?

He sends out His word and melts them;
He causes His wind to blow,
And the waters to flow.

Philippians 2:14

Do all things without complaining and disputing.

this weekend, i attended a Christian teen retreat up in Canada with a group of teens from my youth group. we had a lot of fun playing basketball, listening to good messages, singing, jumping in ice cold water, laughing, eating tacos, and just spending time together.

we also got to walk across the longest covered bridge in the world. :)

i am looking forward to school vacation this week. lately i feel as if i am merely playing catch-up instead of making progress in anything. i am excited for the free time in the week ahead to relax and enjoy doing things that i have not had time to do lately.

what did you do this weekend?

is there anything in the coming week that you are looking forward to?

One of those weeks

2 Corinthians 4:8-9
We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed.

2 Thessalonians 3:13
But as for you, brethren, do not grow weary in doing good.

Colossians 3:2
Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.

It's been one of those weeks. Have you ever had one? You wish that you could just start it over again.

You wish that you could fix your mistakes, take back those words, not do certain things.

Unfortunately, that is not possible. When you really think about it, though, would it actually help to go back and redo things?

Even when we mess up big time, God still loves us and forgives us. We should try our hardest to live in a godly manner with His help, but we will still mess up. But God still forgives us.

Psalm 86:5
For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, and abundant in mercy to all those who call on You.

Isaiah 55:8-12

Isaiah 55:8-12

"For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways," says the LORD.
"For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways,
And My thoughts than your thoughts.

"For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven,
And do not return there,
But water the earth,

And make it bring forth and bud,
That it may give seed to the sower
And bread to the eater,

So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth,
It shall not return to Me void,

But it shall accomplish what I please,
And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

"For you shall go out with joy,
And be led forth with peace;

The mountains and the hills
Shall break forth into singing before you,

And all the trees of the field shall clap their hands."

Isaiah 43:2
"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you.

When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned,

Nor shall the flame scorch you."

Have a blessed Sunday!

Photos and Verses

"If only you knew how much
I wanted to say but didn't."
Anne from Anne of Green Gables

Warning: Lots of photos ahead

Yesterday, I had a really nerdy Jane Austen moment.

After taking a test in English class, I pulled out my MP3 player and started listening to the Pride and Prejudice soundtrack (which I am very much in love with) and then pulled out my current book, Persuasion by Jane Austen and read it while listening to the music.

Yeah. I love my life. :)

Ezekiel 11:16-
"Therefore say, 'Thus says the LORD God: "Although I have cast them far off among the Gentiles, and although I have scattered them among the countries, yet I shall be a little sanctuary for them in the countries where they have gone."'"

Ezekiel 18:31-
Cast away from you all the transgressions which you have committed, and get yourselves a new heart and a new spirit."

Ezekiel 20:19-
"I am the LORD your God. Walk in My statutes, keep My judgments, and do them.

Sun flare!

Ezekiel 1:28-
"And you, son of man, do not be afraid of them nor be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns are with you and you dwell among scorpions; do not be afraid of their words or dismayed by their looks, though they are a rebellious house. You shall speak My words to them, whether they hear or whether they refuse, for they are rebellious.

Ezekiel 3:10-
Moreover He said to me, "Son of man, receive into your heart all My words that I speak to you, and hear with your ears."
